2013 has been a year full of surprises, laughs and emotions, and TV dramas contributed to a part. For its second year in a row, DramaFever, the #1 online streaming platform for TV dramas, has organized a competition to select the best we have seen and heard in the past 12 months.

To motivate fans to vote, DF will offer an all expenses paid trip to NYC on May 1st to the live awards ceremony with the possibility to meet a “special guest from NYC”. Now the platform is here, UK fans are more than welcome to participate as well. At the time of the article, 850,000 votes have been registered.

Although Korean dramas continue to drive most attention, but this year’s nominees also originate from Japan, Taiwan and Spain:

  • Mischievous Kiss (Japan): 4 nominations
  • A Clinic on the Sea (Japan): 3 nominations
  • Substitute Princess (Taiwan): 2 nominations
  • Isabel (Spain): 2 nominations

For Korean dramas, Heirs dominate by far with 8 nominations, followed by Good Doctor and Family Book with 5 nominations. The Master’s Sun and That Winter The Wind Blows complete the list of strong contenders with respectively 4 and 3 nominations. Running Man dominates the Variety category with 4 nominations. As for actors, only Bae Su-ji (Suzy) receives more than 2 nominations (3) for her performance in Gu Family Book.
