Founded in 2014, Daehan Drama represents and distributes independently-made short-form and long-form series, feature films, documentaries, and short films to TV channels and digital platforms worldwide. Based in London, we are active supporters of webseries as new format of storytelling.
Founded in 2014, Daehan Drama was originally focused on introducing Korean TV series to a new segment of the UK audience – through screenings and special events. As the company got more involved in the distribution of webseries (starting with “Ex-Model”), it refocused on Korean webdramas distribution to digital platforms in the UK. Ultimately, the company’s ambitions grew to represent all kinds of independently produced short-form content (webseries, short films) but also more recently long-form (feature films, documentaries, TV series.)
What We Do
We curate and acquire contents for established and emerging platforms in all kinds of specialty niches, ranging from comedy web-series to festival short films. We are experts in foreign language contents, having established lasting relationships with producers from South Korea, China and Singapore. We now represent over 30 producers as sales agent and international distributor.
Based in London, we represent and sell a catalogue of 100+ to all parts of the globe. Thanks to our comprehensive knowledge of rights, platforms and multiple languages, we have established and are constantly exploring volume, output and one-deals with partners of all sizes. Innovation-driven, we are always experimenting with new business models (revenue share, B2B, blockchain) while also seeking for better terms for our producers.
Besides content sales, we also represent linear and non-linear brands, such as TechStorm.tv (Asian entrepreneurship, tech and eSports channel), TwistedMirror.tv (short-form comedy series, films and stand-up comedy SVOD service) and Mimyuni Media (range of lifestyle, music, movie, kids and documentary channels.)
Thanks to deeply integrated relationships with media owners and platforms operators, we are able to advise on commissioning and original content financing opportunities.
