Viki to simulcast romcom TV series Riders: Catch Tomorrow in the UK
While Viki has certainly experimented simulcast of Korean dramas in North America, this might be one of the first times that it does so in Europe too.
Indeed, Tcast, the company behind cable channels DRAMAcube and E has closed a deal that will allow the original romantic comedy series Riders: Catch Tomorrow to become available on the streaming service at the same time as the Korean TV premiere on Sunday November 8th.
The 12-episode drama series stars Kim Dong-wook (Coffee Prince), Lee Chung-ah (Flower Boy Ramen Shop) and Choi Yeo-jin (Emergency Couple) and centres around a rickshaw building company called ‘Riders’.
It is a great opportunity for UK fans to access a Korean drama series so quickly, and we can only hope that is just the beginning for further similar release patterns.
